Why is it hard to follow Jesus - @josepheparker

What does it really mean to follow Jesus?
I ask this question to myself almost every time I tend to either find my spirituality in or out of sync with Him. When I’m dancing in tune with the music I sense heaven is playing, there is always a sense of wonder: How do I sustain this? How do I make this last forever? The music almost always stops when I’m suspended in mid-air trying to perform a new “spiritual dance trick.” In my weak state, in my disappointment in the inability to preserve these halo-moments, I stand next to the holiness of God in light of the Scriptures and I break down, literally; weeping on the floor, crying “More!”
At the other end of the spectrum, I find myself doing more of the things I would rather not do; the partaking of my sinful desires and the grand scheme of covering it all up in one giant magical swoosh. These cravings inevitably give me a chance to pause and ponder: Why am I doing this? Why am I enjoying this? I claim to be a Christian. I shout “Lord, Lord!” but I do not do what He says (Luke 6:46.) Sin exposes my true desires and wants and cravings.
Sin is selfish.
It is a “me-first” mentality.
I am in a one-sided relationship with Jesus.
I do what I want, when I want it, and how I want it. Yet, I claim to follow Jesus. But is this what it really means to follow Jesus?
I did not set out to write this post series (in fact, as I write these very words, I doubt if this “book” will ever see the light of the day), but as I wake up every morning, there is a tug within that I can never seem to ignore. Maybe I am scared that I would reveal too much of my sins to the world and I want to do everything in my power to hide them for this is one thing I seem to be good at: hiding my sins. But like cancer, it spreads and immobilises me. Something happened to me when I met Jesus. An inexplicable love had scarred and smeared my heart with a sizzling hot fiery dagger and it has never really remained the same with me. Yet, I still go back to the very things Jesus came to conquer once and for all for me, and for you dear reader.
No matter where you are in your life,
whether you know Jesus or not,
whether you are religious or irreligious,
whether you believe or not,
there is an open door hinged at the end of a very dark room that seems to say, “Come.”
We agree that the church ought to be the followers of Jesus, but that doesn’t mean that we are all in agreement with that. There is so much disagreement in the church today about what it really means to be a follower of Jesus. And it is a really simple concept. Jesus says,“Follow me.”That’s the first thing He says to His disciples: “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men” (Matt. 4:19). And that’s also the last thing he implies to them: “Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt. 28:19). He was telling them to go out and make these other followers of Him and “baptise them and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Now why doesn’t this command work in every area of our lives?
Imagine if you told your son:
“Go clean your room.”
And then a few moments later he comes to you and says,
“Hey dad, I can memorise what you had commanded me. You said ‘Go clean your room.’”
Or he says something along this line,
“Hey dad, I can say ‘Go clean your room in Greek. Listen…’”
Or he tells you how he would gather his friends every week and they were going to do a study on what it would look like if he actually cleaned his room. Now, as a parent, you know that none of those scenarios are going to fly with you. The boy should know better, right? He should buckle up and go clean his room.
Jesus was as black and white as He could get when He gave us the commands of “Follow me” and “Go and make disciples.” He would look at people and say “Why do you call me Lord, when you don’t do what I say?”(Luke 4:46). Why would you call someone your Master and not listen to Him? And He says in Matt. 7:21, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my father who is in heaven.”
In John chapter 6, Jesus said some really difficult words, and this was in front of thousands of people, and when He’s done teaching, everyone leaves except for twelve men. Everyone leaves going, “Arggh, this is some hard teaching, I cannot take that message, I cannot stomach that.” And Jesus looks at the twelve who were left and He asks them a very simple question, “You guys want to leave also?” And then Peter’s reply was very profound and yet simple: “Where are we going to go? You have the keys to eternal life. I know your message is hard, but where are we going to go?”
You think you’re out for this life that is so difficult, then you realise that there is blessing and you have more peace in taking this hard road than going with this wide road that everyone else is going on. And Jesus is at this door, and He says,
“Just take this. Follow me.”
And then you learn that all of the things He is telling you to let go of and walk away from are the things that were going to destroy you anyway.

¨I gave my life to Christ when I was 9¨ God and I with Tolani

FH: Tell us about you
`My name is Ajala Tolani, i really don’t have a nickname. I am a graduate of physiology, a very sensitive person in nature that is why I don’t get close to people easily but when I do you’ll never regret it (never a dull moment with tOLaRr).

FH: When did you give your life to Christ?
I gave my life to Christ when I was 9 years old and I rededicated my life to Christ 2007.

FH: What were the events that led up to making the decision?
I was saved at a very tender age, joined the choir to the extent I sometimes share my bible class teachings with my friends. I didn’t know much then but I just wanted to serve God. After a while I backslided.
In 2007, a lot of things happened in my life that left me helpless, fearful, devastated, a lot of sleepless night which made thirsty for a change. I had no option but to retrace my steps back to the potter.

FH: What challenges have you experienced in your walk with God?
Whao, Challenges!!! Have had so many but there was just this one thing then, which was hearing and believing from the basis of God’s word. Concerning every issue of my life I wanted to hear from God through His word (fine, I listened to messages, read books). On every issue I just wanted to know the mind of God.

FH: What practical steps did you take?
Be anxious for nothing …….. (I’ll put my name here), but by prayer with thanksgiving allow your request (no matter how small it is, what to wear, what you need, how to go about something) be made known unto God. Ephesians 1:16-18 was also one of the scriptures I used.

FH: There are times in our walk where don’t exactly feel top notch, what keeps you going in those times?
What kept me going in times like that is fellowshipping with fellow brethren that is why church programs are called service just like the way we service our cars. I made sure I avail myself for paryer meetings and bible study, iron sharpens iron. It wasn’t that easy but it really helped.

FH: A lot of Christians out there have the major challenge of dealing with sin, what’s your take on this and how do you think we can overcome sin?
Sin is man's old nature and our perfection is in Christ. Therefore to overcome sin, one has to admit that something is wrong. Don’t ever appreciate sin instead focus more on the solution even when you’re still in the act. Put the sin aside and focus more on being a better person especially in that area. Focus on the price and not the problem.

FH: Can you share the most remarkable time or season in your walk with God?
The day I rededicated myself back to Christ, since then I have never experienced a better last year because He daily loaded me with benefits.

FH: What is your relationship with God like today?
Superawesome

FH: Words of encouragements

God is always speaking to us through the Holy Spirit. Concerning that situation, look unto God because His plan for your life is in His book. No matter what you are going through always give thanks, its not always that easy but just obey 1Timothy 4:4

PS: Happy Independence to Nigeria!!! I pray that the coming election will be according to the plans and dictates to the most high, His express will be done in this nation and we will grow in peace and unity!! In Jesus name! Amen!!!

''For the first time I prayed out loud'' My God & I with Wale

FH: Tell us about you.

I'm a vibrant, energetic and young boy called Wale. A graduate of Crawford University, lover of Christ because I believe there is no-one like HIM.

FH: When did you give your life to Christ?

That was 2011, at a revival service in my school.

FH: What were the events that led up to making the decision?

Somethings just happen and you don't have explanation for them. Like the word said in Galatians 1:15 - called me by his grace. That was the time I had to surrender all to Him, commit my life to Him fully. The minister was preaching and it felt like it was for me, for the first time I PRAYED OUT LOUD.

FH:  What challenges have you experienced in your walk with God?

A lot, like backsliding, wanting to do those old habits. I use to go out drinking alcohol with my friends before salvation, afterwards, you look weird to them like 'is this guy alright'.

FH: What practical steps did you take to deal with them?

I was weak then, I lacked orientation let me say; I had no mentor - I felt it was just about living a good life, having good habit basically it was like rule of morality for me. So, it wasn't helping but I had an encounter with a friend who understands walking with God. Now, I deal with them by reading the word, meditating on it. David said my heart is fixed and I'll sing praises to God. I had to be in love with God to be able to fight it. - walking in love.

FH: There are times in our walk where we don't exactly feel top notch, what keeps you going in those times?

I'm a lover of music, well, have learnt a lot in my walk with God, most especially when you meet people of like mind. The scripture says 'so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend' (Proverbs 27:7) also in Hebrews 3:13, it says 'but exhort one another daily.' I have just gospel music in my archive and not just anyhow gospel music like the owambe type, I listen to those anointed ones that will keep me going like Nathaniel Bassey, Frank Edward, Wale Adenuga, Jesus Culture, Darlene etc
I also listen to messages on the go like Hagin, Kenyon, Adeboye etc, they just get me going.

FH: Alot of Christians out there have the major challenge of dealing with Sin, whats your take on this? and how do you think we can overcome sin?

One of my fav quote in the bible is Romans 12:1-2 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." As well as Matthew 5:48 "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect"

These quotes serve has my guide in not to sin, also Jesus said "if you love ME then keep my commandments." We claim to love HIM then we should hate sin.

FH: Can you share the most remarkable time/season in your walk with God?

It's this year, I'm enjoying it so much due to the fact that I'm understanding my walk now.

FH: What is your relationship with God like today?

I can't describe it, it's awesome I'll say, I won't want to trade it for anything. I love HIM!

FH: Words of encouragement that you have for people in whatever phase they are in right now?

Just think of HIS goodness over your life. God said is our shield and great exceeding reward (Gen 15:1)
Lay it at His feet any burden that you may have, just cast all to HIM and relax. Bro Hagin said 'every God's blessings comes with a condition' and that is we must obey HIM!

God bless you.

Guest Post: What no one will tell you about your relationship with God

images (6)

In my walk with God (howbeit Short) there are a few things I learnt along the way that no one sent me the Memo in advance. I just want to be a good Samaritan, especially if you are new on this Love walk with God.
Here are some things I've learnt along the way that no one told me about;

1. The Initial High will Fade: I grew up in the church and I have probably dedicated and rededicated my life over to God countless times, along the way God met me, with a yearning in my heart for him or I finally paid attention to that yearning. I bought a Bible and just read. How does one go from falling asleep reading a chapter of the Bible to spending hours studying (notice I said studying) I was so excited to learn truths, I was so excited to know God more, and just when you think you're there the 'high' disappears. Then the real learning begins. No body tells you about this part till you start experiencing it. Good thing about this place is you will have built a certain level of trust with God that will not make you run away from him.
cry out to the lord5

2. You will Cry (Probably more than you've cried before): This walk with God has never brought you to tears? I don't want to know how hard your heart is, when you are overwhelmed by Gods Love Ah! When i say tears, it goes from tears of Joy to tears from worship, to tears from knowing you've been forgiven much, to tears when things get hard and it feels like God is not there but you know what? God has a record of all your tears, [ Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll are they not in your record?] Psalm 56:8 How consoling is that?

3. You will have doubts: When I say doubts I don't mean just having doubts about "Will God do this or that for me" I mean more serious doubts "Is God real?" "How am I even sure we are not all making a mistake?" "All of these doesn't make sense?" Things in that line.
Be calm, the fact that you call them "doubts" means you believe something right? but you are just unsure, You see that alone is an evidence that you are doing something right. The Devil will not shoot you with thoughts to doubt God if you already don't believe him. Get it? Now just smile and say out loud "Lord, I'm sorry for doubting you but now more than ever I am sure you exist, I may not see but I have your word and I believe what you say. Thank you for who you are" Shikena!
*Butterflies and unicorns*

4. This Relationship also needs work; With the mention of "work" and some believers will throw stones but be calm. We are saved by grace independent of our works, Yes I know.
God has called us into a relationship with him and not a dictatorship. Won't grace just be easier if it was a dictatorship? I will just wade through life not "knowing" my master but just taking instructions, accept his goodness and yay heaven, but God doesn't operate that way.

The purpose of Jesus is to restore the relationship between the creator and the creation.
So, do you think he just saves us to know that we are going to heaven or he saved us to know him? and our knowledge of him assures us of our position in him? Makes sense?
Here is the tricky part; In every relationship if you don't spend time with your partner how will you get to know them? It doesn't happen automatically. God has the power to input all the knowledge we need into us but he is not a dictator, He wants you to be genuinely interested and the interest you show births the work, but this work is not labouring or trying to get him to do what he has already done or anything legalistic (Like they will say)
We spend time with him to know him not because we think reading the Bible 3 hours a day will earn us his favour or anything of that nature. So, our 'work' is birth out of Love not Labour

4. You will still be bad (Sometimes worse); Your decision to accept the Life of Christ doesn't automatically make you drop all your old habits infact as you walk with him he will start showing you things you never knew were there. Keep calm, don't fret If he is showing you its because he is working in you to be better, don't act by what you feel act by who God says you are in him!

5. You will become boring.... by the world standard; This is expected but no one will tell you about it, but you know what? There is much more fun in the Son! Halleluyah! Your view has just shifted and remember you are in the world and not of it. Its okay that things of the world interest you less as you continue in him. Keep calm and have fun in the son!

6. Serving in Church is not the Ultimate.... Yep! I dare to say it. Remember Mary and Martha? What did Jesus say?
" Mary sat at Jesus' feet and listened to his words. Martha, meanwhile, was distracted with preparing and serving the meal for the group.
Frustrated, Martha scolded Jesus, asking him whether he cared that her sister had left her to fix the meal alone. She told Jesus to order Mary to help her with the preparations.
"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." (Luke 10:41-42, NIV)

7. The "weird Unpredictable Uncle" AKA the Holy Spirit is Fun; Contrary to the Image we have of the Holy Spirit in our heads, we are scared because people fall in 'those' moments - Don't know about you but I used to be - One thing I know now is that when we start acknowledging his presence in our lives it gets easier.

This is not to say the Journey is not exciting, it is the most exciting Journey any human can embark on and I won't have my life any other way than one with a relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy spirit.

As a believer does this list look familiar? What have you learnt in your walk with God that no one told you about, care to share?

#TruthSeries: Lost in Lust

In the winter of 2009, I was travelling to visit a family friend of mine. I planned ahead and made sure I didn’t leave any stone unturned. I bought my ticket ahead of time and planned by bus route. My carry-on was lightly packed and literature for the journey was also set. I was pleased with how well I planned everything to suite me. I felt like a smart university student whose life is on course until I met her.

I am TRUTH

Chime
Pure, uninterrupted.
abrupt, soothing
Rhythmically beautiful to some,
disturbing and unacceptable by others.
Just like you sound,
I am TRUTH.

Cotton white
Naturally unblemished,
soft on the eyes, fluffy on the skin.
the white of purity.
the divergence of brightness.
Just like you look,
I am TRUTH.

Flowing River
clear, void of stench,
endless stream of cleanliness ,
like the rush of wind, i watch you directed,
glassy, refreshing, bringing life to those you come in contact with
Just like you flow,
I am TRUTH.

Earth
Brown Heritage,
dirty yet full of riches,
establishment resides in you,
dominion lays its foundation on you,
pregnant with purpose to be birthed.
Just like the power possessed,
I am TRUTH.

Rock
Rock solid, solid rock,
out comes the waterfall, full of surprises,
endless potential you possess.
Firm, you hold all that's found in your care,
Fall, that's not found in you.
Just like you feel,
I am TRUTH.

*                                                                  *                                                 *

This is an introductory post to the #SeriesofTruths, i want to share here some truths about me and some decisions i made in the past year, with the believe that someone out there will draw encouragement from it.  This is also going to be open to whoever wants to participate just like "Series of Scars" (Btw, Thanks to all that sent in their stories then) Lets do it again shall we?

How do i want this to work?

  • Send in a story either telling us a truth about you or the truth about a difficult decision you've had to make or a difficult situation you found yourself that can encourage someone out there.
  • Share this post to give more people the opportunity to tell their stories (We are all here to learn right? I know i want to)
  • Share and Share again ;)
  • Send to tomi.akibo@gmail.com and if you feel the truth is delicate and confidential, let me know so i would post anonymously.
  • Let encourage one another, one thing i've learnt is that whatever we go through we are not alone. Lets prove it. your story is what one person might need to hear.
Thanks in Advance.
God bless you.

Series Of Scars: Beat Down

I was about ten years of age and yeah, I was feeling like a big boy, I mean, wasn’t I? I was somewhat of a terrorist at that time. My peers where my subjects and I was their leader, sometimes I even led a few of my elders. Stubborn, fast-mouth, blunt, fearless, they all described me. I was a hunter, fisherman, footballer, love-messenger, to name but a few. I was just an amazing kid, yeah yeah, think whatever you wanna.

Anyway, I got back from school that fateful, which I always hated, and as usual couldn’t wait to hit the hood where my subjects where waiting as usual for out normal rounds of ‘play’. Hooked up with a few of them and after a good round of play, I had to run errands for my mother. She was a seamstress then and she had a particular man she buys her sewing materials from and that was where she needed me to go to. The man that sells the materials had a daughter who was like five to seven years my elder and she was the one I met that day. I can’t remember what happened but I remember we had an argument and because I don’t back down, I bad-mouthed her till she got so upset and got physical. I mentioned I was a big boy right? Well, I didn’t consider the age difference to be an issue until she proved it really was. She pushed me really hard and I hit my head on a wooden piller. Lets just say while I was trying to dismantle her and re-arrange her face, I passed out. Yeah, you heard right, I fainted! When I came to, I was already at the nearest chemist and had stitches on my heard. That was how I lost that fight, damnit!!! If I cut my hair very love, you won’t miss the scar.
Now, to the lesson right? Well, I learnt age really matters in a fight mostly when it’s over five years. Let me point out here that I became quite humble around her.LOL

Series of scars: Scars of life

If my sisters read this, predictable as they are, they'ld jokenly caption it 'scars of life/destiny. They wont be far from the truth

I've had my own fair share of scars, some from pieces of broken promises (and believe me those (pieces) cut deeper than any surgical blade could). They helped me find a balance between high expectations and low standards, so these days I neither get my hopes up or let my guards down.
In the end we all resort to time, that great healer, to get rid of our scars but I look at the old and wrinkled and realise what a lousy beautician time also is.
Balancing the equation are other more physical scars, hieroglyphics I call them. Quite few in number but each enigma telling a story of its own.

Looking at my certificate and thinking 'I could have done better', then realising how many times i sat blindly through a university lecture or test, not seeing the board clearly, either using the proactive right side of my brain trying to paint a vivid picture of what was being written afar- off or just scribbling word for word from the closest notepad to me.

Also thinking of the enemies i made along the line, who at some point when i was 'seemingly' looking, waved from afar and thought it pride when the gesture wasn't returned.
I wish my opticians were more optimistic, I wish the astgmatism helped change my point of view, I wish these prescribed lenses could help me look on the brighter side and completely heal this scar they labelled 'myopia'

At times I wonder if the myopia is the real injury and the convex lenses are just the scars, a sign of the slow healing process. I hope, thats all i can do even though my protection from the sun's ultra violet rays is the only noticable difference the lenses bring to the table.

Fools tell me I narrowly escaped albinism, I laugh it off but its probably true, but if I have learnt anything from these scars, its building my confidence to an all time high and not letting these ignorant comments breach that fortress.

Hidden or conspicous, be it a scar from an appendicitis surgery or one from the bottle of acid of a jealous lover, there is a lesson to be learnt the hard way, through the pain barrier.

Tomi akibo says scars are a true testiment to the healing process, I say ''Scars make a man, they are life's tatoos''

Series of Scars: A Pro-blogScars

Blogging - Pouring your heart out to readers on an Online Journal about particular subjects that are of interest to you.
Adsense - A Google Advertising program that pays Web publishers for adverts shown on their articles.

Back then when USB Internet Modem was a myth and Laptops were owned only by rich kids - we internet junkies still managed to maintain an online presence by discovering, sharing, using illegal methods and software to bypass mobile network firewalls just to browse for free.

It wasn't until Seun - The owner of Nairaland.com banned all posts about illegal network hacks that most of us saw the internet can be used for so much more than just Yahoo chat.

In 2010, 15,000 Naira was BIG money(it still is) - That was the Goal i set to achieve from google adsense with the launch of a Nairaland Copy (Yes I copied Nairaland), but i soon found my rhythm and style in the Online Publishing Business, this tripled my initial goal and within 1 year, this small boy was receiving Monthly cheques in foreign currency and could afford his best gadgets, an iPhone, Laptop with 24/7 LEGAL internet and an Office!.
Ngbuzz.com was doing good!

The Scar!!!
I'm not writing about your normal Every day scar here.. (with Amala scar as an exception)
This is some Microsoft, Buys Off Facebook, and Google Type scar.. I feel like a version of Mack ZugaBug (Too lazy to google his name) who just lost Facebook..
If this doesn't qualify as a scar in your book, it's probably because i'm not genetically engineered to be as emotional as y'all. Neither do i engage in any form of social or physical activity referred to as "FUN"

Lets cut to the chase, shall we?
Ngbuzz.com is No more!
Why? - because I didn't read the Google adsense terms and condition (properly) - That long text we all scroll past and click AGREE? - who knew it would come back to bite me 2 years later.
Google adsense banned Ngbuzz for containing Adult content (words and images i usually sensored) but when a website ranks highest for the search terms like "Bigbrother Africa shower hour" "Cossy B00bs" it's bound to go down - Blurred images or not.

I Learnt this lesson the hard way and it cost me my monthly cheques which would have been over $500 - The scar is Ngbuzz.com - It stays there reminding me daily of the mistake i made.

Licking my wounds (I hate that expression) i moved on to NgbuzzBlog.com a better Pro-blogger.

Blue Peril: The Genesis

Hello People, My name is Adriana, and I love shoes, i would just buy shoes and put them on display and just be happy just looking at them, I know this is not a good first impression but truthfully I’m into shoes. Today is not about shoes though, I kissed a guy today and I did NOT feel a thing, well maybe except disgust; which is weird, a kiss never disgusts me, I mean it’s a kiss for crying out loud. So why did a kiss disgust me?
I decided to come here to share the stories behind my love life on here and try to make them as short as possible and spread them over time. This is my first Piece, Do Enjoy.
*************************************************************

I live in a world where uncool is a synonym for Virgin, not to talk of being a kiss- virgin too. I was 16 and in SS2, I wasn’t bothered, I only cared about physics assignment – I had a strict teacher, Chemistry lab work and who I was going to disturb during Prep. Although I got a lot of attention from boys, wasn’t bothered either.
Not for long
Strolling along the road with my friend one Saturday during visiting hours, She stops to greet this tall, slim, handsome boy, then she introduces us, we all got talking, I was so engrossed that I didn’t even know when my friend left us. We kept talking for hours about God know what.
There were a lot of boys with the “good – looking” appearance all over the school but not all of them had a good command of English and could make me laugh like Joseph did, and just like that I became one of them, you know those “Snr Adriana, Snr Joseph wants to see you outside” category of girls, I was so shy I would see him for a short while then go back to my hostel “Still Thinking about it”
Quick Question: When we were younger, why did we believe in keeping the boy waiting too long even if we liked him?
I had senior friends who would go for prep- after- prep, come back and  start a tell – it – all discussion about “happened” during the prep after dark, my young mind would pick up on stuff and arouse my curiosity.
Finally, I decided to become Josephs girlfriend so I joined the prep – after – prep band wagon, gradually since basically prep after dark wasn’t for ‘talking’ we started running out of things to say, I starting panicking.
Not for long either.
“Adriana, tell me, have you kissed Joseph before?” She dropped it on me like bomb one prep - after – prep night.
“Because I kissed segun today and it really felt good” She continued
Trying not to look in her eyes “Errrmmm…. I’ve never kissed before, I really don’t know how to”
I almost laughed out at the shock I saw on her face.
Recovering from her shock, she tried to convince me about how awesome and harmless kissing is “You close your eyes, there can be tongue involved, you let him lead and soak it in”
I sat there nodding my head and soaking it all in like an agama lizard and with every intake if the words I said good bye to a little piece of my innocence.

One prep after prep, trying to say goodbye to my “love” then he put his lips on mine and for a second there I would have sworn all the blood I had in my whole body went up to my brain so I couldn’t send the signal to my lips to part ways to give way for his, so I stood there two hands by my side, lips closed and he trying to stick is tongue in my tight closed lips, now what’s the definition of awkward again? I just gave the shy smile and left for my hostel, of course I had to go back and give my tutor feedback, I couldn't crush her feelings and tell how much bad a student I was.
Literally
“It was nice” was my reply and she just smiled, gave me the I – told -  you – so look and hugged me like saying goodbye to my innocence was something to celebrate.
After numerous Preps after dark and attempts to have a non-tongue-forcing-kiss, I finally learnt to part my lips while kissing and my life never remained the same.
Met my friend on my way to his class after School on a Friday, She greeted me longer than usual, that was where I got suspicious “Seriously Bimpe What’s going on?, let me go I need to see Joseph”
Reluctantly she let me go without saying a word to reply me.
As I walked to see Joseph and one of his friends playing as usual but this time before they could sight me their tongues were doing a little playing too, rubbing my eyes clearing my throat by the window side making sure the saw me, then I walked away. We saw each other a couple of times after that incident.
But Not for long.
I broke up with him. I was miserable, but of course I learnt a huge lesson about peer pressure in this first phase of my love life, do things for you not because your friend thinks it’s a good idea or because your friends think its cool, so at least you would be responsible for your Actions and not blame someone for your mistakes – people that won’t be there to clean the mess when the water boils over the cooker.

Too lazy to clean maam?

Gone Till November...

I've been talking to a friend of mine and she has persuaded me to let her have access to my blog, Since I've not been writing x_x her name is Adriana and I think She has something interesting to share with you guys (I Hope)
The thing is, she has not even told me what and frankly I want to be surprised.
I'm not editing or proof reading what she has to write, am just handing it over to her and joining the audience.

I do hope she delivers *Fingers Crossed*
*In Frank Edoho's voice* The next post(s) you going to see is Adriana's

X__X

I'm not really gone till november tho'. It just seemed appropriate ;)
